Taking screenshots is easy with the Windows operating system, and it’s as simple as pressing ‘Windows + PrtScn.’

But why is it called a photo? Some claim it’s because of the tiny file size of pictures (when compared to screenshots), but others say that photos involve a camera, while screenshots do not. That’s true, but there is more to the story.

Simple steps

  • Open the application you would like to take a screenshot of.
  • Press Windows + PrtScn.’
  • Open Pictures folder on My computer
  • A folder name screenshots are created and it is stored in that folder
